My Story
On 27 June myself and my son Cameron will be on the battlefields of the Somme to honour the immense sacrifice of those who died in the conflict.
When there we aim to raise funds for BLESMA by undertaking a 17 mile trek across the battlefields taking in all the main sites including the Ulster Tower, Thiepval, Lochnagar Crater and the Fricourt German war cemetery.
It will be poignant that BLESMA was founded in the aftermath of the Great War when 40,000 servicemen came home with lost limbs. Today BLESMA continues to support those heroes….
